Background and Values

Being a Kuwaiti Born of Pakistani origin, having lived in the GULF and the US for the first 20 years of my life, this all set the ball rolling for my extrovert, social character. My father being a self-made man instilled within me and my siblings the elements of self-belief, confidence and fearlessness. My educational formative years were spent within two varied academic systems, one being the Gulf the other being the US. Both my parents ensured I grew up being a patriot at heart and at the same time with empathy and humility in our behaviours.

Having no family back in Pakistan, (the paternal and maternal family being settled in the US, Europe and Canada), I opted to come back to my home country and explore settling down. I am a business graduate, I freelanced and interned at various organisations, as an HR Specialist. I was trained by the British Council as a counsellor. Moving on, I am now a certified mentor and trainer, and also a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner.

Entrepreneurial Journey

I started working in the year 2000 and worked with different esteemed high commissions, universities and corporates, designing customised programmes and delivering them in the form of workshops and training sessions. My on the job training and development helped me build a very strong international network,  including both corporate and academic institutions, big and small. These years of service in Pakistan gave me detailed insights on what were, and still are, the missing links, whether they be concepts of counselling or justifying the meaning of training.

I always aspired in my work to give back to the community. I knew in my heart that I had to get off the service platform to completely pursue my passion. This is how Mentoring Hub evolved. The vision puts forward my vision of adding value to people’s lives - professional and personal. Mentoring Hub continues to break the barriers, the proverbial glass ceilings, that we have surrounded ourselves with as humans through experience and time.

Looking to the Future

The best thing about being an Entrepreneur is the “Set of Wings” it has given me. I can fly, out of the box, out of the room, around the world, with my ideas and action plans. I can ensure my values that revolve around empathy, humility and resilience are intact. The biggest success to date for Mentoring Hub has been the opportunities to mentor several thousand professionals and youth, both nationally and Internationally. Mentoring Hub pioneered the introduction of the importance of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in this part of the world.

The Future plans include impacting as many souls as we can with the essentials of Self Actualisation and EQ enhancement, as well as with the true essence of NLP. The plans are to expand the current International and National networks and program opportunities, as much as we can, and to ensure that we are doing justice to our vision and goals. ◼️
